Try to remove the dents with a rubbing compound, or even a polishing compound. This should work if the scratches are not deep, and if you have previously applied varnish on the paint job. However, repair isn't always advised in these cases, given the potential liability. Fixing a broken leg of a furniture piece may lead to potential injury on the part of the person who will use it, if such repair is not properly done. If the furniture's leg is broken, replace the entire leg. Do not attempt to glue or nail the leg together, nor support it with adjacent material. Seek a replacement part from the manufacturer or from a fabrication company, and replace the entire thing.
